AI NOTICE (Selv-a)
Effective date: 2026-02-26 Last updated: 2026-02-26
1. Purpose
This notice explains how Selv-a uses artificial intelligence, what it can and cannot do, and how your data is involved.
2. What AI does in Selv-a
Selv-a uses AI to help you reflect on what matters and generate personalised insights. AI features include:
- guided reflection flows that adapt to your answers
- generated reflections, reframes, and follow-up questions
- personality and psychometric insights
- safety checks that detect signals of potential crisis.
- Outputs are generated by AI models and may be produced without human review.
3. AI is not professional advice
AI-generated content in Selv-a is for wellbeing and self-discovery only. It is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. It does not replace a qualified professional. See our Safety & Crisis Notice for emergency guidance.
4. Limitations
AI outputs may be:
- inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated
- inconsistent across sessions
- biased by the data the models were trained on.
- You should not rely on AI outputs for important decisions without independent verification.
5. Which AI providers we use
Selv-a routes requests to third-party AI providers (for example OpenAI). The specific provider may change over time as we evaluate quality and safety. We select providers based on output quality, safety practices, and data handling commitments.
6. What data is sent to AI providers
To generate outputs, we send:
- the relevant parts of your input (your question, context from the flow)
- metadata needed for routing (language, feature type).
- We reduce direct identifiers where feasible, but free-text content may contain personal information if you include it.
7. Third-party model training
Depending on the AI provider and the contractual and technical configuration at the time, data sent to the provider (inputs and outputs) may be used by that provider to improve its models under its own terms.
We work to use configurations that limit or disable provider-side training where available, but we cannot guarantee this for all providers at all times. See Chapter 7 of our Privacy Policy for details.
8. How Selv-a uses your data to improve
Selv-a may use your interactions to:
- improve prompts, safety checks, and response quality
- evaluate which provider or model works better for certain tasks
- investigate safety incidents.
- Where we offer opt-out controls for non-essential improvement uses, we will honour them. Opt-out does not affect processing needed for core features or safety.
9. Human review
Trained personnel may review content for safety, quality, and abuse investigations under confidentiality. This is limited to what is necessary.
10. Your choices
You can:
- avoid including sensitive personal information in your inputs
- export or delete your data
- manage optional improvement settings where available
- delete your account at any time.
11. Wellbeing data
Because Selv-a is a wellbeing and self-discovery service, your reflections may include health-related information (for example, mood, stress, anxiety). This data receives additional protections under GDPR Article 9. See our Privacy Policy Chapter 6.5 for how we handle special category data.
